Stewardship Seminar – Zvishavane
In line with the General Conference vision that requires every church member to establish the habit of putting God First in every area of life and mission that seeks to help leaders and members develop habits necessary for spiritual growth and faithful stewardship. A week-long stewardship seminar was conducted in Zvishavane for church board members by Pastor Cremmar Mpofu, the Central Zimbabwe Union Conference Stewardship Director. The purpose of the seminar was to promote Total Member Involvement (TMI) through [1] trusting in the Lord, [2] faithfulness and [3] a missionary mindset through financial stewardship. Various aspects of stewardship were discussed and the church board members were, at the end of the programme, excited about the knowledge they acquired.

Stewardship was explained as acknowledgement of God’s ownership and sovereignty and also of Jesus Christ’s claim of lordship in our lives. The Bible tells us that only a person who has a relationship with God can truly partner with Him and worship Him with their whole life. Consequently, stewardship is the lifestyle of one who has accepted Christ’s lordship, and is walking in partnership with God and acting as God’s agent to manage His affairs on earth.
